Health Insurance for Russian Visa

So you are travelling to Russia, and you think that you need health insurance to apply for visa. However, US Citizens are NOT required to have health insurance in order to apply for a Visa to Russia.

If you still want to get health insurance for your trip, I will tell you some good news, it is cheap.

This is what your health insurance in Russia will cover:

So, first of all you need to input your Departure date and your Return date. I did it for 8 days and my insurance was $14.21. So it is fairly cheap.

Now, if you are involved in high risk sports, and you choose that option your policy price will go to $28.42. So if you do a lot of extreme sport activities, perhaps you should opt into it.

Next, you input information on the insured person. You input name , Last name and the date of birth. Also, you need to provide your email. They will send you policy confirmation to your email.

Next, you are taken to the payment page and you have a choice of paying with Russian Bank Card or "Payment by card of any country" ( this is what you need to choose). They accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diner's Club, JCB and Union Pay.

That is it. You are all set. You will get email with your policy details. Now, for small amount of money you have a peace of mind.
