Reasons to move to Russia

1. Your children will never find out what LGBTQ is... There is a ban on this information in Russia. Russian State Duma passed a law in - there is no propaganda of LGBT community in Russia among children and adults. Be careful as engaging in such activities you may end up deported from Russia.

2. GMO is illegal in Russia. In 2016 Russia passed a Law and imposed a ban on growing GMO crops. So, be careful, if you own a farm and planning to grow your own food, make sure it is non GMO.

3. Free healthcare. That's emergency, operations etc. The doctors will come to your house/apartment if you call ambulance. There is no charge for that. If you have to stay in the hospital it is completely free also. There are private paid clinics also, so it is your choice.

4. Traditional Family Values. Russian recognizes only marriages between woman and man, no other marriages are recognized. Traditional values are important for Russia as most Russians don't accept western approach to identifying marriages.

5. Gender change is prohibited in Russia, so your children are protected. The law banning transgender transition in Russia (also the law banning gender reassignment) was adopted by the State Duma on July 14, 2023, then approved by the Federation Council on July 19, 2023. So, there are no transgender people recognized in Russia. Russia had some but they immigrated away from Russia.

​6. No political correctness in Russia. In Russia, there is no political correctness. I think the USA will go bananas soon with it. You almost can't say anything anymore not to offend somebody by your opinion. Some Americans don't know how to approach people and call them Madam or Sir, - it is a total state of confusion.

7. Freedom of Speech. Many Russian left the country and are openly criticizing Russia without any consequences for them. Russia allows such people to have their own opinion. Everybody remembers what happened with Julian Paul Assange who created Wikileaks. They put him in jail for speaking out against the USA.

8. Russia is a conservative country. Russians respect elderlies. Russian traditions are strong and they carry the wisdom from many generations in the past. Russians have appreciation for children and are creating the healthy environment with various laws and ordinances that are passed by State Duma.

9. Russia does not have homosexual marriage. It is not allowed. Only man with woman marriage is recognized. No civil marriage also. Russia does not tolerate same sex marriages. Also, for the purposes of immigration to Russia , make sure that your marriage is not civil marriage as it is not recognized in Russia.

10.  The crime is very low compared to American cities. I wake up at 3:30 AM every morning and go outside to get my coffee. I never had problems early in the morning. The crime rate is substantially lower compared to any other American cities.

11.  Education is not politicized. USA is teaching that American was the first in space, Americans have won Second World War etc. Russian history books speak of the truth and nothing but truth compared to the history books in the USA.

12. Good quality products. The products in Russia don't have GMO in them as it is prohibited by law. Also, the products ingredients are much more natural than in the USA.

13. System of education. It is more disciplined. Better quality of education. Immigrant children who come to Russia have to enroll in one or two grades lower after testing, because western education is of a lower standard.

14. Deep relationships among Russians. You will definitely have true friends here. In the USA it is common after a party your friend rats on you to police for drinking and driving, this is unacceptable for Russian friend. You will find out the true friendship in Russia.

15. Cheap Utilities. My taxes for 2023 were 700 rubles ($7) for two bedroom apartment. Utilities are way cheaper than in the USA. For instance my trash is $3 a month. Natural Gas is about $6 a month. Highspeed internet, 3 cell phone lines and 250 TV channels are all $13 a month. I get one bill here for all of it. That is for everything.

16. No cancel culture. Russia does not engage in cancel culture policy. People of various cultures are welcomed in Russia. After all, Russia has more than 160 nationalities that live on its territory.

17. Legal Home schooling. That is right. If you don't feel like giving your child to school you can do home schooling. It is absolutely legal and you just have to go to local school to pass exams to get the grades once in a blue moon. For those of you that prefer home schooling, Russia is definitely a good choice.

18. Low Taxation (13% if you are resident). If you are self employed and Russian citizen like me you pay 4% tax ( government gives you 1% off bonus , so you pay only 3% tax).

19. Free annual medical examination. People are offered an annual medical examination. It is free examination of the functioning of all the most important systems of the body. Inpatient treatment involves full board with treatment and meals. There are no age restrictions so you could be a person of any age.

20. Secondary education is free in Russia. The constitution of Russia guarantees you the free right to secondary education. So, if you decide to go this route , you don't have to pay a dime.

21. Free hot meals for children at school. From 1st to 4th grade, children are provided with free hot meals. This is a law and is the food is great compared to the USA food.

22. Free textbooks for schools. Every child receives textbooks and teaching aids free of charge. The only thing you have to buy are the workbooks for your children. So, the school library gives you all textbooks for free and you have to give them back at the end of the year.

23. Free University Education. There are budget-funded places in universities provided that the child passes according to points based on successfully passing the Unified State Examination. So, if you pass a test with good score, your study is free. They call it "budget" study in Russia.

24. Free hobby groups and sections for your children to attend. Upon arriving to Russia, my daughter went to free chess school - it is a government run program. Also she went to free Art school ( they were teaching her how to paint) - it is also a government run school. If your daughter is good enough, you can even pass the entry exams to gymnastics school funded by government and all attendance of your daughter will be for free also. In the USA i did not find any free chess or art schools, or gymnastic schools for my daughter.

25. High temperature - Call a Russian emergency. They will send an ambulance to your house to check up on you. It is absolutely free of charge. Amazing, right? I was amazed too when no one told me I had to pay even a dollar.
